           The character that I most like in Laskar Pelangi is Lintang. The first reasons I like him is because he is very hard-working person. Although his house is far away from school he has spirit to go to school. He also has a big dream to become a very good person so he can help his family. He also need to face a big challenging before go to school. He need to cross the small road that has crocodile. The second points that I like him is because he very responsible kid. He has very sad family background. His family very poor. His father is a fisherman, he do not has mother, and he the oldest boy and has 3 little sister to take care.

HAPPY BIRTH-RAYA DAY!!!

1/8/13 is the day of 1st raya and it is also the day i turned 20 this year. so sad.sobb sobb..btw, im so happy that day because they (my family) have celebrated my birthday.
I have also met my childhood friends this raya. we have not been in contact almost for 10 years. They 'beraya' at my house and we have been talking for hours.
As conclusion, i am so tired this raya and happy and sad too(dpt duit raya ciput).

There are several elements to look at when reviewing animation. The first is visual motive. Since this is the first thing people will usually look for, you must realize that animation is a totally different art form than other art such as drawing, painting, and others. Anime and American cartoon are the example of animation which have their own style, but the American form of animation is not as good as anime. Through time, both of these styles compete with each other in producing better visual effects. For example, the use of colors often quite more advanced in Japanese anime compared to American cartoon. Besides, “Anime eyes generally have a lot of contrast. Shadow and highlights are strong. Lines are well defined. The light source is indicated by reflections.” (Wagner & Turlington, 2002, p.155). Anime has wide variation in physical characteristics that make it closer to reality compared to cartoons characters which usually have features that are not related  to the rest of the body that make it further from reality. This proved that visual motive of anime is much better than American Cartoon ­­as Figure 1 shows.

Most people in the world clearly know who Oprah Winfrey is. However some people only know her name but never see her face before. Figure 1 shows how Oprah looks like.

            “Be yourself. Be all that you can be,” she said. She used this quotation all the time and because of that she became America’s richest entertainer by becoming a television star. (Reuters, 2013). Oprah never gives up and keeps trying from failure. She overcame obstacles such as teenage pregnancy and drug abuse. When her parents separated, she lived with her mother for a few years, during which time she was sexually abused by her own family members. Then she ran away from her mother’s house and she was sent to live with her father by youth training center. She used the second chance that she got to make her life for herself that encouraged by her father. She started her carrier as an entertainer after which she gained a scholarship. At age 29, she hosted a show called AM Chicago. It is her fortune because within a month she became famous and till this day she has her own television show.(Pomerantz, 2013, online).

ANIME IS BETTER THAN CARTOON, AND IT’S A FACT!

“Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha” is one of the legendary taglines in anime and mostly important, do you know what it is all about? According to Garcia (2011) Anime is adaptation of the English word animation and used to refer animated cartoons produced by Japanese artists (p.106). In the late nineties, Astro Boys,The God of Anime became famous after many successful in screenings and anime has begun to be lifted as the most entertaining animation. This is the beginning of a new era when people switch from watching American cartoon to Japanese anime. Anime’s stories referred to the bonds of friendship, valor theme, not to give up and cute characters(Comic Media, 2012). The Impact of anime through the world cannot be denied when people are more prefer anime than cartoon due to three reasons which are visual motives that cartoon lesser than anime, anime’s lover is well known compared to fans of cartoon and finally American cartoon is childish while anime is fantastic.

Three Themes for a Perfect Wedding : our choice

The first theme for a perfect wedding is a classical wedding.  There are several styles that can be created from the classical wedding concept, such as traditional style and retro vintage style that might fulfill the couple's satisfaction of wanting to look classic.  Usually, "Traditional weddings appeal to most brides and their conservative grandmothers" (Obenschain, n.d., online).  The couple can choose their own methods and decorations for their wedding day based on their culture. For instance, for a Chinese wedding ceremony, " The bride and groom wear traditional Chinese wedding costumes during their wedding ceremony" (Ng, 2013, p. 5).  In Chinese traditional wedding, bride will wear a red veil over her head until the groom removes it during their wedding ceremony as shown in Figure 1.

Besides traditional wedding style, retro vintage style also brings the mood of classical wedding concept.  As Matthews et al. (2005) writes, beautiful articles with age-old refinements make terrific gifts.  Nowadays, the demand for the retro style wedding gowns, wedding bands and jewelry is gradually increasing.  The retro vintage style wedding that gives a romantic kind of feeling to the couple become quite popular and will be a memorable moment to the couple.

Personalities of a Persian Cat

There are several personalities of a Persian cat and that are loving and loyal as companions that bond strongly with their owners. They are very easy-going and unlikely to scratch anyone. As Helgren, (1988) said “If you want your cats bouncing around like hyperactive popcorn, don’t buy a Persian. Persians are perfect companions, if you like placid, sweet-tempered cats” (p. 3). They are very friendly as they love to be pampered and sometimes the owners have to feed them by themselves. Persian cats are very kind and passive cats. They love attention and like to be played around with. These are good pets for family as they are very adaptable and cooperative. They are also good with other pets and children. As we can see, “though they are not demanding, they love to be petted and would often want to sit on the lap of its owner” (Moustaki, 2013, p. 1). Persians are incredibly loving, it wants to be closed to its human family members, curling on a lap or sitting next to them. Figure 1 showing that the Persian cats are easy to get along with kids.

The oldest profession in the world: Why they choose it?

Prostitution is the work of a prostitute who offers herself or himself for sexual intercourse to earn payment as an exchange for sexual services. It is normally in the form of money. Prostitutes may be involved in either heterosexual or homosexual activity. However, commonly it has been engaged by women with men as clients. They prefer to choose this profession rather than other jobs. A number of countries such as England and France have legalized prostitution as these countries use it to generate national income. Prostitution has not stopped after thousands of years and “Prostitution has been called the world’s oldest profession” (Soroptimist, 2007, p. 1). It has been around since the beginning of time and can be traced back to ancient civilization. The reasons why they choose prostitution can be classified into three components; chasing a life of absolute luxury, desperately having to do it and enjoy doing it for pleasure.

We can name many successful persons in this world and they have their own story on how they can get into their position now. They make their move from the determination, focus on their aim, face every obstacle and reach satisfaction. As Chow (2013) writes "you must have passion and work hard, as in life, nothing is free," (p. 37). Why they bother to be extraordinary and what is so special about being extraordinary? Well, we will figure it out here. What is extraordinary? Extraordinary is being beyond what is usual, regular or established. Second, how to be extraordinary? Brown (2009) mentions that "the reality is, success is simple, but only if you know the formula," (p.29). It is easy to get success and one of the best ways is to learn from others. There are many successful persons in this world that we can take as our inspiration. Three of them are Oprah Winfrey, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ray Kroc.
